ON TO MEMPHIS!

This is the word now. As soon as transports can be provided, we take it that a sufficient number of troops under convoy of Com. Foote and his fleet of gunboats, will move directly upon Memphis. The way is clear, or nearly so. The very latest accounts represent the military preparations at Fort Randolph and Fort Pillow as of a very unimportant [character] – the whole efforts of the rebels having been exhausted at Island No. 10.
