Pittsburg Battle

BALTIMORE, April 14. – In reference to Beauregard’s dispatches alluded to in the Old Point letter we have enquired of the War Department and we are authorized to say that the reports from Pittsburg Landing, already given to the public, contradict the report of the Norfolk papers, and that reports received at the War Department confirm the statements that the enemy were repulsed and pursued as far as the previous orders of Gen. Grant would permit, and the enemy are not shut up in Corinth.
