From Fortress Monroe

FORTRESS MONROE, March 11. – The official report of the naval engagement sent to Richmond, states that in the Merrimac two were killed and eight wounded; the muzzels of two guns were broken off; the prow twisted; the armor damaged; the anchor and flag staff shot away, and the smoke stack steam pipe riddled.  Captain Buchanan was seriously wounded in the thigh.  Capt. Laper has since died of his wound.  Trustworthy information to-day states that the prow was shot away.
