The Indianapolis Journal says:
“We understand that Jesse D. Bright returned home last
Saturday, and stopped at Madison on his way up.
He was very coldly received. – It is said that he has rented a house
near Jeffersonville, and intends to become a temporary resident of the State,
in order to carry out his purpose of ‘appealing to the people’ and getting back
to the place he has dishonored.”
