NEW YORK, Feb. 1.
It is said that the first battalion of Massachusetts cavalry
have left Annapolis for Port Royal.
The steamer Bavarian brought 2,000 cases arms, containing
4,000 sabres and over 45,000 stand of arms, equipments, &c.
Specials state that the Senate is in executive session on
army appointments.
