The General Assembly of the Presbyterians in the United
States, convened here at 11 o’clock to-day.
Assembly opened by Rev. John C. Backus, D. D., of Baltimore. They accepted the hall of representatives,
tendered by a resolution of the legislature and met there at 4 P. M.
