This Regiment formed on its color line on the morning of
April 6, 1862, and moved forward to a position supporting Waterhouse’s Battery,
which was held until 10:00 a. m., when it fell back to this point and formed a
line with the rest of the brigade. Its
loss in the battle was 5 officers and 45 men killed; 7 officers and 111 men
wounded; 29 men mission; total 197.
