Diary of 4th Sergeant John S. Morgan: Wednesday, April 1, 1863

All general till 1. P. M. when G co were ordered on the boat Lebanon No 2 to guard her up the river to a plantation to get bricks, back in time for parade at 5. P. M. Rebs shelled our working party during night.
