Started for the front this morning at 6 o'clock, or rather
for Annapolis, Md. Cousin Pert went as far as Bellows Falls with me; arrived at
Springfield, Mass. at 8 o'clock, p. m., at N. Y. City about midnight, and
daylight found me between Philadelphia and Baltimore.
