Our Major Dwight has won for himself the heartfelt
admiration of the regiment. His indomitable pluck and perfect sang-froid were
beautiful. I watched him on Saturday and Sunday with wonder and delight.
Bullets and death he utterly despised and ignored. In short, he is a genuine
hero.*
