A Nashville letter to the World says . . .

. . . “Bushrod Johnson is refused a command, and treated with contempt, for breaking his parole.  A. Sidney Johnston has been superseded by E. Kirby Smith, so reported.  Pillow and Floyd suspended, as you know.”
