Diary of Lieutenant-Colonel Rutherford B. Hayes: [Saturday] Morning, June 7, 1862

Flat Top Mountain. — Still cloudy with hopes of clearing off. This has been a bad storm, lasting almost a week. No prospect of moving yet. Read the “Bride of Lammermoor.” — I don't like the conclusion of it — lame and impotent.
