Last Saturday evening we had the pleasure of attending a party at Mr. Burrows’, our highly esteemed County Clerk. It is useless to say that we had a good time, and that all appeared to enjoy themselves, for that is just the place to learn the definition of the term – good time – as every one knows. The peaches and cream that were served on the occasion so affected our taste that we have no relish for common food since, and we should immediately apply there for board, but Mattie says, they don’t have peaches and cream every day. What a pity! The best of wishes for the Host of [sic] Hostess, who know so well how to make their guests happy.
