We clip the following dispatch from the Davenport Gazette:
CAIRO, April 11.
To Edward Russell, Davenport, Iowa:
The 8th, 12th and 14th Iowa regiments were nearly all taken prisoners. The 16th was in the fight. All our troops suffered severely.
Capt. Littler lost his left arm.
Twenty-eight of our wounded are at Mound City – none of them from Scott county.
Will leave to-night for the field.
