Third Iowa Regiment

We received a letter last evening from Capt. Foster, of the 11th regiment; written at the close of the second day’s battle at Pittsburg. He was struck by a spent ball and only slightly injured. The facts he writes us are embodied in the letters of the Chaplain. Capt. Foster informs us that Major Stone and Col. Williams of the 3d regiment are among the wounded. This is the first news we have had from that regiment. Lieut. O’Neill, of the Washington Guards, is also dangerously wounded and a prisoner.
