The articles and money we mentioned yesterday as donated by this township to the soldiers’ Aid Society, were collected by Mr. Thomas Graham, and in part from Cedar county. Mr. Worts brought in for the State Sanitary Commission two large store boxes and two barrels full of goods, embracing 58 feather pillows, 28 comforts, 38 sheets, 40 pillow cases, 28 shirts, [8] towels, 6 pr. Drawers, and a large quantity of cotton cloth for bandages and linen cloth for lent. He also sent one box of pillows, sheets, jellies, etc. by way of Clinton. That portion of our county has done remarkably well.
