. . . in Illinois, some nine or ten miles from this city on Friday last. It grew out of the poisoning of a dog. We know nothing of the case. The result was the shooting of a man by the name of Hunt by a Doctor named Lawrence. Hunt wash shot at three times, two of the balls taking effect, one in the arm and the other in the hip. Hunt will probably recover. Dr. Lawrence has made his escape.
