In the Mobile Advertiser we find the usual comparative statement of the receipts of cotton at all the ports for the first four months of the cotton year, viz.: from the 1st of September to the 1st December.

The numbers in this article were extremely hard to read and should not be taken to be accurate, however the difference in these #'s between 1860 & 1861 is the real meaning & significance of the article. Additional research would be needed to determine if I was able to correctly transcribe (doubtful) the numbers.
