The Nashville Banner of Friday says that John Bell, the man some of us tried to make President, is in fine health. We learn that, on the approach of the Federal troops, he fled with the prominent rebels to Murfreesboro, but last Wednesday, General Buell sent word to him to return home, telling him he had nothing to fear. – Lou.
