Appropriation Bill

A bill recently passed by Congress to supply deficiencies for the year ending 30^th June next, appropriates the following sums:

For pay of Volunteers	$50,000,000
Subsistence	26,668,902
Cavalry and artillery horses	1,661,040
Fortifications	834,000
Ordnance, including arms for privates and horse equipments	9,624,000
Medical and hospital Department	1,000,000
Quatermasters Department, including everything not embraced in the other items	108,604,547
Amount to be refunded to States	15,000,000
Total	$153,892,489
