Appropriation Bill

A bill recently passed by Congress to supply deficiencies for the year ending 30th June next, appropriates the following sums:

Subsistence

Cavalry and artillery horses

Fortifications
834,000
Ordnance, including arms for privates and horse equipments

9,624,000
Medical and hospital Department
1,000,000
Quatermasters Department, including everything not embraced in the other items

Amount to be refunded to States
15,000,000
Total
$153,892,489
