. . . exchange with the Davenport GAZETTE, provided the editor would take the trouble to mail the paper directly to this office, instead of sending it to St. Charles, which is in Madison county. The GAZETTE is more than a month old when it arrives here. – Charles City Intelligencer.
This matter shall be attended to, and hereafter the GAZETTE will go straight to Charles City, at least if the post-office people don’t forbid.
