Personal

The Northerner, which arrived late last evening, brought up a large number of notables.  Among them are Messrs. W. H. F. Gurley, U. S. District Attorney, J. B. Leake and B. F. Gue, senators, and J. T. Lane and J. H. White, representatives.  Messrs. Gue and White passed on up the river.  Several other members of the Legislature were on the Northerner, homeward bound.  They came down the Des Moines to Ottumwa, and thence by rail to Burlington.
