From Kentucky

LOUISVILLE, March 3. – Railroad Communication between here and Nashville, except over a creek ten miles north of Nashville damaged by the rising water on Saturday will be resumed to-morrow night.

The election at Nashville on Saturday for principal officers passed off quietly.  The retiring mayor issued a proclamation assuring the citizens of protection by the Federal troops if they quietly resume their accustomed avocations.

The Government agent at Bowling Green is making every exertion to extend mail facilities to every part of Kentucky – Only military letters and Government business now being transported.
