Marched eight miles to Buckeyston, over hard roads on
account of the heavy rains. Camped for the night here. I have now arrived up to
date, and must stop, as we start soon. I shall send some money home at the very
first place I can get hold of Adams Express. I have had but one mail for
several days, so I've no doubt there are several letters for me somewhere.
