Genl. M. Cook, U. S. A., told several of our officers made
prisoners by him, but rescued by Wheeler, that Genl. Sherman said, on learning
of the change of Commanders of our army, that heretofore we had fought as
Johnston pleased, but hereafter 'twould be as he pleased!
