Rested finely last night; weather fair; had a three hours'
brigade drill this afternoon; proved more of a march than a drill; regiment
very small owing to so many being on detached service, and on other details;
men busy, too, on their log cabins in the new camp. Dick is with me to-night;
think he prefers being where he isn't so much crowded as in his own quarters.
