Am in good old Vermont at last, if I have got a boil coming.
Major Dillingham's remains arrived in Waterbury last night, and the funeral
services have been today, but it has rained hard all day. I am not able to be
out. Carl Wilson and Frank French called to see me today. My boil is very
painful; have not been out of the house; would like to have gone to Major
Dillingham's funeral but can't get about till my boil breaks on my ankle. I'm
ill, too.
