Dear General: .
. . We began recitations today. Mathematics and French, tomorrow mathematics
and Latin. Mathematics five days a week; French and Latin on alternate days,
two hours each. To-morrow we commence drills one hour a day – and two hours on
Saturday. Everything works well. . .
