Looking for information about my Great Great Grandfather John F Brown who was assigned to the 6th Missouri Calvary during the Civil War. At some point wounded and hospitalized in New Orleans if I am not mistaken. He was from Dade County at the time so likely from Company E or Company L if my research is correct. Anyone know how I can source Missouri Civil War files that might have more information?
