Congressman Rutherford B. Hayes to Sardis Birchard, June 17, 1866

WASHINGTON, D. C., June 17, 1866.

DEAR UNCLE:— All things looking well here. Do not be astonished if you get in a few days a box by express. It contains nothing more explosive than what is said to be pretty fair Bourbon.

We can't yet predict the end of the session. From the 15th to the last of July is probably the time.

Sincerely,
R. B. HAYES.
S. BIRCHARD.
