The days of my stay being numbered, I am improving the time as best I can. Have
been to John Loucks's, Isaac Bryan's, Daniel McElwee's, Hugh Miller's, Jason
Hull's (where I had another good dinner), and then came on to this place and
put up at Mr. Dutcher's. Met John Van Alstyne, who was on his way to Sharon,
and was told I was a fool for enlisting. Maybe I am, John, but I have lots of
company.
