Organized at Indianapolis, Ind., and mustered in March 1, 1865.
Left State for Nashville, Tenn., March 3; thence moved to Decatur, Ala., and
garrison and guard duty there till September. Regiment received the surrender
of Generals Roddy and Warren. Mustered out September 27, 1865. Lost during
service 43 by disease.
