MY DEAR SIR:— My
wife is a granddaughter of Isaac Cook, son of Colonel Isaac Cook of
Wallingford, Connecticut. I have just learned that James Carrington married a
sister of Colonel Cook, and that he (Carrington) compiled a pedigree of the
Cooks which passed into the hands of his son, James Carrington, formerly of
Astoria, Long Island. I write to ascertain if you have any information of that
pedigree, or of the names or residences of the earlier Cooks. I will be
particularly obliged if you can set me on the right track.
