W. P. Wightman: An Unconditional, Uncompromising And Inexhaustable Union Man

To whom it may concern

The undersigned has been charged by some scoundrel, or by some wrongly informed person or persons with being a Copperhead. This is to give all persons interested, notice, that I am an Unconditional, Uncompromising and Inexhaustable Union man. I never have been any thing else, and by the blessing of God, I hope always to be found battling for the union undivided, for freedom to all men, for my country forever.
