Capt. Black of the 7th regiment, left here yesterday with 31 recruits for that regiment. They were mostly from Muscatine county. Lieut. Wright of the 2d cavalry, left at the same time for his regiment, with 16 men. Of those, Mr. C. Van Evera, of this city, is the only person from Scott county. This squad consisted of able-bodied, mature-looking men, who looked as if they went to the fight as a matter of duty, which they had well considered. They went down on the steamer Northerner. Both squads, with their recruiting officers and returning soldiers, numbered 62 in all.
