Chapter 69


AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 317, CHAPTER 22, OF THE REVISION OF 1860, IN RELATION TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS.

SEC. 1.   Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Iowa, that there be added to said section three hundred and seventeen, at the end thereof, and after the word “year,” the following words: “in counties in which the population is less than twenty-thousand; and in all counties in which the population exceeds twenty-five thousand, no supervisor shall receive pay for more than twenty-five days in one year.

SEC. 2.  All acts and parts of acts in conflict with this act, be and the same are hereby repealed.

SEC. 3.  This act, being deemed of immediate importance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in the Des Moines Register and Davenport GAZETTE, anything in the laws of this state to the contrary notwithstanding.
