DES MOINES, March 28. – The Senate to-day decided against
the resumption of the land grant to the Dubuque and Pacific Railroad by a vote
of 30 to 12. This decides the question at
to all the other roads.
The House has been fighting for two days over the payment of
the claims of Col. Edwards’ Expedition to Missouri last summer.
The Assembly have agreed to adjourn on the 8th of April.
