Gen. Rosecrans arrived in this city on Saturday, from
Western Virginia, and left in the evening, on the steamer Emma, for Pittsburg
Landing, accompanied by his staff. We
understand that Gen. Rosecrans has been appointed to take the command of the
lat Gen. Smith’s division at Pittsburg Landing. – Cin. Gaz. 19th.
