Rained violently all day. Visited all officers to see if
they were provided with canteens, etc., etc All very nearly ready. Streams will
rise and roads deepen so that no movement can now be made. A gloomy day to pass
in camp, especially after getting ready to move. Set at liberty two citizens in
guardhouse.
