Cold and windy; froze about four inches last night. Captain
Bartruff has been over to call on us; says that we will have to move over with
the rest of the brigade to-morrow, but why were we told to build quarters here?
Pretty rough, but we shall have to stand it! Glorious news from General Thomas
tonight; has captured sixty-one pieces of artillery and nine thousand
prisoners. We move at 9 o'clock a. m. to-morrow.
