A Mr. Livingstone, from Georgia I believe, has been
extensively engaged in financial transactions during the last week. He drew
upon the house of North & Co., Savannah, and purchased some $35,000 in
gold. After obtaining some $350,000 from the brokers here, he obtained a
passport (of course!) and fled into the enemy's lines.
