All my work prospers. The Governor is anxious to get rid of
the slaves, and I expect will facilitate their exodus.
Collamore has left for Kansas with authority to raise and
fully equip three regiments, which equipment is so much extra. They do not
grant it to others.
Blair wants me to go to Fort Munroe and see Butler about it.
This will take three days more, and then for our dear home.
Jim Lane means to be in New Orleans by December.
