Tuesday, weather clear. Lt. Allen is detailed with 30 men as an escort to the Steamers W. B. Terry, Trio Emma, and Hettie Gilmore under the command of Col. Bissel. Col Bissels command cut stumps all day. Col Bissels command penetrate slowly to day into the forest.
