Union prisoners from Richmond report a large number of
families going South. They say that
Jeff. Davis had gone to Tuscaloosa, Ala.
The Union sentiment at Richmond was strong and increasing.
The Secretary of War has ordered the release of the rebel
Colonel W. F. Baldwin, of Virginia, to be exchanged for Colonel Corcoran.
