Sent out my letter early in the morning. Had some pork and
soft bread to issue. Saw A. B. and talked about Thede. Concluded to have him
start for home with Hillhouse and George also. Both talk of going to Knoxville
tomorrow. Mark goes down to work for Chamberlain. Finished the first volume of "Scottish
Chiefs." Much pleased with it. Thede and I had a good visit.
