Edmund Taylor Manning

EDMUND TAYLOR MANNING, Son of Rev. Edmund Taylor & Lucia (Reed) Manning, b. 1841, Nov. 20. A soldier of the Rebellion in Co. A, 16th Iowa Infantry; enlisted in 1862, and honorably discharged in 1863 by reason of disability. He has resided largely in Chicago, Ill., and Toronto, Can. He m. (1st) Charlotte Van Dusen, by whom he had several children, all of whom died but one. He m. (2d) at Toronto, 1882, July 1, Mrs. Phebe C. Adams.

The children of this marriage were:
  • Sarah Susette, b. 1883, Apr. 25; m. at Chicago, 1901, Apr. 24, Edwin F. Wales.
  • Florence Elizabeth, b. 1884, July 1.
  • Henry Ernest, b. 1&85, Dec. 27; d. aged 4 years.
