NEW YORK, March 12. – All the principal forts in the Harbor
of New York will be garrisoned by order of Gov. Morgan. The five New York volunteer artillery
enlisted and instructed for heavy artillery service, and recently ordered to
garrison the forts in the vicinity of the Capital has been retained and under
orders received to-day, will be apportioned in companies to the different forts
in New York harbor.
