A band of guerillas in Lafayette county, Missouri . . .

. . . were attacked on the 10th Inst. by a detachment of the first Iowa cavalry and dispersed with a loss of nine killed and three wounded.  Guerilla warfare doesn’t seem to pay in Missouri.
