The House has passed, to-day the general appropriation
bill. It appropriates two hundred
thousand dollars – seventy-two thousand for the payment of interest, the balance
for State Government expenses.
The Assembly have passed a law exempting the personal property
of our soldiers from levy and sale till the close of the war.
