Our visitors
increase and I shall not be sorry when we are beyond the reach of those who “doubt
the propriety” of arming the negroes. There is but one convincing argument and
I don't care how soon it comes. I am sick of talking to men whose limited
capacity renders it necessary for me to explain that humanity lies somewhat
deeper than the integument of the human body.
